Description

The Genesee Valley Branch represents the ten counties of the Genesee Valley and Finger Lakes region.  The branch encompasses the beautiful hills and lakes that run along the route of the Genesee River on its way to Lake Ontario. The branch serves over 1 million residents that expect excellence in their Public Works professionals.

The Genesee Valley Branch has over 100 active members making it the largest branch in upstate New York.  Every January the Branch membership gathers to celebrate the best in Public Works in the region with an awards banquet attended by over 225 people including public works officials, consultants, contractors, and elected officials.  The Board of Directors have been working hard to expand the educational and participation of its members through expansion of its educational lunches, cooperation with a student professional society at Rochester Institute of Technology, and social events such as afternoon games at the ballpark and evenings at the Amerks.  Outreach efforts include resolutions for National Public Works Week, co-sponsoring various events with other professional organizations & stakeholders and holding public works roundtables to discuss current events and issues in public works.
